Bathe (023)

When I cannot get warm or cannot relax, I turn to my bathtub. An observer might think I was boiling lobster with the steam rising from the running water. Sometimes I look like a lobster for several minutes after submerging. It’s probably not the best for my skin and nerves, but it certainly helps to relieve muscle tension.

Recently, I started a new habit of taking an epsom salt bath in the morning as a way to ease into the day. I bring my Kindle and relax until the water has noticeably cooled off. I’ll wash my face first and then my body before allowing the water to drain. If I could spend my entire day brining myself, I probably would.
