This is the first summer that I have not had to buy new shorts. Shorts are made to shrink over winter. It's a conspiracy to get people to buy more shorts. Socks disintegrate in the dryer and shorts shrink in winter storage. 

Mike and I spent a couple hours out shopping for shorts and other summer items. I have been super excited about the return of overalls, and have been eyeing many pairs in online ads for the past couple months. We decided to make the trek out to Duluth Trading Co. today, Jorah in tow. The ladies at the store loved on him and had him giving high fives while Mike and I handed him back and forth in order to try on various items. Mike found two new pairs of shorts and a breathable sun hat; I found a long sleeve tunic—with pockets!—to wear over my bathing suit and a pair of bright orange short overalls. My inner adolescent is giddy.
