Loaner (010)

When you work out of your vehicle and partake in many activities that involve driving, you may not realize how much stuff you keep in it until you have to turn it in for maintenance. Mike’s truck had a recall for a failing water pump, and he scheduled maintenance for today. He thought he grabbed everything from the truck bed and back seat before we headed to the dealership.

As he signed paperwork to borrow a vehicle for an unknown duration, I noticed his hockey sticks in the back seat. While grabbing those, he realized he didn’t take out the garage door opener. As he handed that to me, I asked if he pulled the mileage log from his center console. After we walked away, a service manager asked if he would need his phone cord. You don’t think about this stuff until you need it. We had a pile of stuff on the bench as we waited for a dealership associate to bring in his loaner vehicle.

As we pulled out of the lot, he attempted to put his phone into the pop socket holder that didn’t make the transfer.
