Book (019)
For as long as I can remember, I had a desire to write. As a very young child, I filled notebooks and lockable diaries with chicken scratch thoughts and stories about my latest crushes. As I got older, I enjoyed language arts classes in high school and eventually took creative writing classes just for fun after finishing my Associate degree. Researching and putting thoughts together for psychology classes satisfied my need for the two years it took to finish my Bachelors degree.
For the past three years, I have struggled and failed to start a blog or revisit my old pieces to bring them into the light. That ends now. Well, it ended weeks ago when I started this 100 day challenge to write on my blog every day. My story is going to be told. Thanks to life coach Michelle Akin for helping me break up with the bullshit that has held me back from accomplishing my goal, I am slowly working toward writing a memoir. Today, I created the cover for my book, printed it out, and put it on a physical book so that I can keep it on my desk. The end will always be in sight.
