Nano (006)

Today feels like wasted time. After taking NyQuil for a coughing fit at 4am, I slept another 9.5 hours. There were a few instances of Mike entering the bedroom and talking to me. I remember groaning at him and closing my eyes. He could see I was dead to the world. Jorah cuddled patiently until I woke up, and then insisted on being let outside to potty.

I received some happy mail today that I was excited for. First, a tiny microphone with the phrase I have held dear for a few months and is helping me create and dig myself out of this pit: Break Up with Your Bullshit. Now to scour my office for the dongle that will allow me to use it with my phone. The other item is a toy released in 1997: a clear cased Nano Puppy. As a 12 year old, I had the Nano Baby and it brought me tons of joy. Over the years, I’d buy batteries and play with it randomly, but it’s been in my collection case for about three years now with the various Tamagotchis I’ve acquired. When I found this one on eBay, I couldn’t pass it up, and I’m happy I didn’t. It’s in very good condition, looks hardly used, and the seller sent me some batteries with it. Silly toys like this remind me that no day is wasted if I enjoyed a fraction of it.
